Mike Cosic has three decades of experience in financial and investment management in a variety of publicly traded and privately held companies. He has served as the CFO of two publicly traded companies (Meta Growth Corp and Lithium Americas Corp), and CEO of one publicly traded company (Craftport Cannabis Corp), overseeing numerous investment raises, mergers and acquisitions, and restructurings.
In the mergers and acquisitions phase, Mike specializes in complex due diligence, unpacking deal structure, reviewing legal and financial analysis and assessing risk profiles in potential acquisition targets. In all, Mike has managed more than ten global M&A transactions with a deal value in excess of $1B.
Mike also has experience initiating and completing strategic and operational changes leading to the creation of significant shareholder value, including corporate name changes, altering corporate business models, significantly reducing SG&A expenses, renegotiating loan agreements and completing Private Placement equity financings.
For six years, Mike also served as Audit Committee Chair for a Canadian publicly listed company, in which he brought his skills and expertise to provide independent financial oversight and transparency.
